Animals end up in shelters for a wide variety of reasons – economic distress, home foreclosure, illness to the owner, inability to properly care for the animal, changing family dynamic, and many others – but the goal is the same for each and every one: to find the perfect new home! One of the primary missions of Talbot Humane is to find good homes for animals in need, and to provide care and support to those animals while they wait for their new family.
Talbot Humane is home to more than just dogs and cats. At any given time we may have rabbits, ferrets, mice, rats, gerbils, chinchillas, hamsters, turtles, snakes, lizards, lovebirds, cockatoos, finches or even a pot-bellied pig!

Looking for a special breed or type of pet? 
We never know what may come through our doors! If you are searching for a special breed or type of pet, be sure to putyour specific interests on you adoption application. Upon approval we will put your information in our Wish Book. Your application will be kept on file for 6 months while we help you search for your new best friend.
